WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The second top-10 matchup of the Pac-12 men's soccer season comes in the third week, highlighting another exciting weekend of competition. No. 5 UCLA travels to take on No. 3 WASHINGTON in a match to be televised Monday night on Pac-12 Networks. Both teams enter the weekend ranked in the top 25 nationally in assists per game... Pac-12 teams stayed at the top of the rankings as CALIFORNIA earned its third-consecutive No. 1 ranking in NSCAA’s weekly poll. Washington weighed in at No. 3 and UCLA at No. 5... All of last week’s four Conference matchups that did not end in a tie were decided by merely one goal, a slim margin of victory that demonstrates just how tough the Pac-12 is from top to bottom. Two games went into overtime, including SAN DIEGO STATE’s first point-scoring performance, a 3-3 draw against Stanford. The only match between two ranked teams - No. 1 California at No. 6 UCLA on Sunday night - was the other overtime game, which ended in a 3-2 California victory... Cal forward Stefano Bonomo became the 28th Golden Bear Player of the Week honoree after securing California’s second-straight victory to help the Golden Bears remain undefeated on the season. Cal is one of four teams in the nation without a loss so far; the other Pac-12 team with an unblemished record is Washington.
