SAN FRANCISCO – Whether it’s “I Got Bounce” or “Nerd City Kids” or “Move it Like Miley,” the Stanford women’s basketball team has put together some pretty entertaining music videos over the years.

Traditionally, those songs and accompanying videos have been completed right around NCAA tournament time, but Chiney Ogwumike and Co. are getting things done a little earlier this year.

The song for 2013-14 isn’t done yet, but here’s a little preview, courtesy of Ogwumike:

All rise, Nerd Nation. Every day is a Cardinal celebration. All rise, Nerd Nation, turn up for some Stanford domination.

These videos traditionally have some big-name cameos on ‘em (Stepfan Taylor in “Nerd City” is but one example), and this year’s edition will be no exception.

“President [John] Hennessy wants to be in the video. We can’t say no!” Ogwumike told reporters Thursday during Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Media Day at Pac-12 Studios.

“I’m fine with that,” head coach Tara VanDerveer said when asked about her team shooting music videos in season. “You can only practice basketball so much.”

Ogwumike hopes the new music video will be done by December, before Pac-12 play begins. Stay tuned, Nerd Nation.
