The week in social media: Nov. 4-10

Nov 11, 2013

And a happy Veterans Day to you! It was a great week as basketball season tipped off, there was a top-five matchup on the gridiron in Palo Alto, some Ducks flew to South Korea, and a Bruin was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Also, it's snowing in some places. The week:

Dana Altman and his Ducks started their season at Camp Humphreys
in South Korea. They won the game, but I'm not sure that was the most
special part to everyone.

To play sports you've got to be an athlete. Football is no exception.

Ski season is kicking off right now. Or sloping off? Mogul-ing off? Not sure about
the play on words here but the Utah program has won nine national titles.

They're skiing already in Boulder, too. This program has snatched up
18 national titles. So much winning.

There was a pretty big game in Palo Alto and the Cardinal won it, so…

Lisa Fernandez was a first team All-American and won the national title.
She accomplished those feats four and two times, respectively. HOFer.

Not even going to bother with a caption. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? LOOK AT IT!

A great historical quip from the Cougars here.

The Wildcats beat Cal Poly on Friday. This was how they did it.

The No. 9 Golden Bears had a packed house for No. 2 Duke on Sunday.

The Beavers would win on this senior day, 2-0, in a Civil War soccer match.

A little peek inside the ASU locker room during the Sun Devils' trip to Salt Lake.
