Cardinal Advances To Semifinal

It was the NCAA Men’s Water Polo Championship play-in game, but really it was no contest. Stanford scored eight points in the first period and added five more in the second before Whittier College even put up a point, as the Cardinal took care of business easily, 20-3 at Avery Aquatic Center. Stanford (22-5) will try to even the season series with Pacific at 2-2 on Saturday when the teams face off in the semifinals.
