The week in social media photos: Dec. 31 - Jan. 6

Happy New Year, everybody. Here's to a great 2014 and so many more photos in the social space. Because that's what it's all about, right? Or is it all about bowl games, beating ranked opponents, borrowing bands and rivalries? Well that's at least what this past week entailed. The answer is somewhere in there you guys. The week:

Teammates.

People love the Ducks. They've spoken.

Arizona's band didn't travel to Louisiana, BUT SOMEONE MUST PLAY "BEAR DOWN, ARIZONA!", so they borrowed Northwestern State's band. Standard.

A freeze swept across the nation - maybe you heard about it - and so the Buffs skied.

Just racking up wins against ranked teams.

The hoops version of the Big Game was a varietal of Cal victory.

I was able to do this when I was younger.

This guy blocks shots all over, too. On pace to set the conference's career record.

So what I'm taking away is coach Jim Mora is serious.

After a whole lot of build up around this debut, it's on.
