Video: Former Olympian Jordyn Wieber excited to be a part of UCLA gymnastics

Jan 11, 2014

You may remember gymnast Jordyn Wieber from her up-and-down fortnight at the 2012 Olympics. A favorite at the outset of the games, Wieber failed to qualify for the individual all-around but recovered to help USA win the all-around team gold medal. So, what does a teenager and former Olympian do after reaching the highest of highs in her sport? She goes to college, of course!

Wieber is currently a freshman at UCLA, majoring in psychology. She isn't competing with the women's gymnastics team this year but she is the team manager. Wieber took some time out of her manager duties during Saturday night's Florida-UCLA meet to chat with Pac-12 Networks' Jim Watson and Amanda Borden about what she has been up to since winning gold in London and what her hopes are while at UCLA. Check out the interview below.
