Arizona

Congrats to Arizona’s Aaron Gordon for being named USA Basketball’s male athlete of the year. Others who have won that award? LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Michael Jordan. That's some good company you’re keepin’ there, young fella.

Washington State

Washington State takes its act on the road to Maples Pavilion tonight for a battle against Stanford on the Pac-12 Networks at 7 p.m. PT, but unfortunately leading scorer DaVonte Lacy won’t return any time soon, as his rib injury is likely to keep him out until February.

Washington

Washington takes on Cal in Berkeley at 8 p.m. PT on ESPNU in the other Pac-12 men’s hoops game tonight, and a change in defensive style has led to a turnaround for Washington, according to Percy Allen. Romar has made it tougher for opposing teams to drive to the rack by packing it in.

California

And for the Cal side of things, here’s a nice article from John Crumpacker on Jordan Mathews showing promise. The frosh scored 32 in the win over Oregon but put up just two in the Oregon State game.

Stanford

Stanford lost two more players to the NFL draft yesterday after Ed Reynolds (free safety) and Cameron Fleming (offensive tackle) announced their intentions to go pro.

Oregon

Now that he’s the new defensive coordinator, Don Pellum explains what he’ll do differently with Oregon’s defense.

Colorado

Yeah, Spencer Dinwiddie’s injury totally sucks, but here’s how Colorado can save its season, according to Andrew Murawa of Rush the Court fame.

Arizona State

Ooh… you should really watch this fly-through video of what the new Sun Devil Stadium will look like. Saucy.

Oregon State

He has been in a slump recently, but after a conversation with Craig Robinson, Devon Collier is hopeful for a return to form.

UCLA

Check out this story by Chris Foster of the Los Angeles Times on Wanaah Bail sitting and waiting for more playing time at UCLA. His time will come eventually, though, because Travis Wear considers him one of the best athletes on the team alongside Zach LaVine.

Utah

Utah will try to right the ship against USC tomorrow night, and the Utes will look to be offensive vs. USC after scoring just 103 combined points in the losses to Washington and Washington State last weekend.

USC

Since the recently hired Bo Davis left for Alabama, Steve Sarkisian is looking for a defensive line coach again.
