Pac-12 Networks To Air Two CU Lacrosse Games

Jan 21, 2014

BOULDER - In its inaugural season, the University of Colorado lacrosse team will have two televised games. Both games, at Stanford and against Southern California, will air on the regional Pac-12 Networks.

"We are so excited to have two games this season live on the Pac-12 Networks," CU head coach Ann Elliott said. "It is great exposure for not only our program, but for our sport. We are thrilled that our players' families and our fans across the country who cannot make it out West will be able to watch Colorado lacrosse live on TV. In our sport, we do not always get television coverage opportunities so to have a network for the conference is an incredible opportunity for not only our program but for the growth of women's lacrosse."

First up for the Buffaloes' televised coverage is their trip to Stanford. The Buffs take on the Cardinal at 2 p.m. MT on Sunday, April 6.

CU faces a formidable foe in Stanford. The team's nine freshmen make up Inside Lacrosse's ninth ranked recruiting class. The defending Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament Champions earned a 14-6 overall, 6-2 MPSF record last season, claiming wins over four top 20 teams before falling to then-No. 2 Northwestern in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

CU's next match, against USC, will also air on the Pac-12 Networks. The Buffs host the Trojans on Friday, April 11, with a start time of 4 p.m.

Last year, in their first season of varsity play, USC posted an 8-10 overall, 5-3 MPSF record. Head coach Lindsey Munday has put together one of the nation's strongest freshmen classes, ranked 10th by Inside Lacrosse.
