Huskies To Offer Summer Camps For All Levels Of Youth Softball

SEATTLE – This summer, youth softball players of all ages and skills levels will have the opportunity to refine and improve their skills while learning from current and former Huskies, as well as head coach Heather Tarr and the entire Washington coaching staff.

From pitching and hitting clinics to high school showcases and the Mini Dawg Camp for Little Leaguers, the Huskies will offer seven camps this summer designed at teaching all campers the fundamentals in all phases of the game.

The camps begin with hitting and pitching clinics on June 18-19 and conclude with the High School Showcase Camp August 31 – September 1. The full Washington Softball Camp schedule, as well as a brief description of each camp, is below. More information is available at washingtonsoftballcamps.com.

Washington Softball Camps Schedule

June

  • Hitting Clinic (Ages 10-18), June 18-19, $130.00

This two-day hitting clinic will introduce multiple drills to learn and perfect the fundamentals of the swings. All campers will have the opportunity to hit on the field at Husky Softball Stadium.

  • Pitching Clinic (Ages 8-18), June 18-19, $130.00

This two-day pitching clinic will provide all campers of all skill levels specific instruction and a concrete understanding of the fundamentals of pitching. All pitchers must provide their own catcher at no additional charge.

  • UW Player Academy I (Ages 10-18), June 23-24, $500.00

Train and learn the game just like the Huskies over the course of this two-day academy. Each camper will receive personalized training from current and former Huskies and the Washington coaching staff in a 1:3 coach/player ratio. Each camper will also receive authentic Washington practice gear and be assigned an actual locker in Husky Softball Stadium for the duration of the camp.   • Mini Dawg Camp (Ages 7-12), June 25-26, $199.00

This two-day camp will introduce the skills of pitching and catching, all infield and outfield positions and all facets of the offensive game. Whether you’re a Little League all-star or a first-time player, this fun-filled camp is the perfect fit for you. All campers will also receive a free camp T-shirt.

  • College FUTURES ID Camp (Ages 14-16), July 14-16, $425.00

This competitive two-day camp is intended for players who believe they have the ability to play softball at the college level. All campers will receive advanced instruction in all facets of the game and an evaluation of their physical skills at the conclusion of camp. Each camper will also receive an official camp T-shirt. Space is limited to the first 40 players who register at washingtonsoftballcamps.com.

  • UW Player Academy II (Ages 10-18), July 15-16, $500.0

Train and learn the game just like the Huskies over the course of this two-day academy. Each camper will receive personalized training from current and former Huskies and the Washington coaching staff in a 1:3 coach/player ratio. Each camper will also receive authentic Washington practice gear and be assigned an actual locker in Husky Softball Stadium for the duration of the camp. August

  • High School Showcase Camp (Ages 14-18), August 31 – September 1, $399.00

Each camper will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in small group work as well as camp games on the field at Husky Softball Stadium over the course of this two-day camp. Each camper will also receive advanced instruction from the Washington coaching staff in all facets of the game. This camp is intended for high school athletes who are serious about competing at the next level and are looking for exposure and advanced instruction. Campers will learn the game from current and former Huskies, the Washington coaching staff, and other college coaches from the junior college to Division-I level.
