Here’s the game story from Zach Helfand of the Los Angeles Times, and here are some highlights of UCLA’s win over Stanford. Also, the AP points out that it was Steve Alford’s 500th career victory.

Oregon

Oregon Interim President Scott Coltrane put out a statement regarding the lawsuit against Oregon men’s basketball coach Dana Altman and the university stemming from an alleged sexual assualt involving three former basketball players last year.

Arizona

In other action last night, T.J. McConnell led Arizona to an 80-62 win over Oregon with his 21 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Oregon State

Also, Oregon State men’s basketball grinded out an “ugly” 55-47 win over Arizona State. “Ugly” as in Oregon State shot just 39 percent for the game, but won thanks to some solid free-throw shooting down the stretch.

Arizona State

Arizona State football alum Bob Breunig was selected to the College Football Hall of Fame. He played linebacker at ASU from 1971-74.

Washington

While we’re at it, former Washington offensive lineman Lincoln Kennedy was also elected to the College Football Hall of Fame. He was an All-American offensive tackle in 1992.

Washington State

Can the Cougs wrap up a three-game road trip to start conference play with a winning record? It’ll be tough, but here are the game notes for the Washington-Washington State basketball game Saturday in Seattle courtesy of WSUCougars.com.

Colorado

Colorado women’s basketball hosts USC Friday night at 8 p.m. MT/7 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Networks, and Kyle Ringo informs us that Colorado junior forward Jamee Swan is excelling coming off the bench, boasting averages of 14.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game for the season.

California

Cool feature on Cal women’s basketball player Reshanda Gray planning to give back to the community after her playing days are over, handled by writing and media relations guru Jonathan Okanes.

Utah

Kyle Goon tells us that Utah men's basketball guard Brandon Taylor is setting a tone defensively for the Runnin' Utes. Great action shot of Taylor in the link.

Stanford

No need reliving Thursday night’s loss to UCLA, so here’s a two-day-old tidbit about former Stanford basketball player Schuyler Rimmer transferring to Florida.

USC

The Los Angeles Times lets us know that former USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams is projected to go No. 3 overall in the latest mock draft.
