@SunDevilHoops Meets Ducks At 6 p.m. Friday

Jan 29, 2015

The Arizona State men’s basketball team (11-10; 3-5 in the Pac-12) gets to play at home again, as after starting Pac-12 play with five of its first seven on the road and having just two home games in 30 days (Dec. 29-Jan. 27), the Sun Devils play host to the Oregon Ducks on Friday (Jan. 30) at 6 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Network. Roxy Bernstein and Don MacLean are on the call while Tim Healey and Kyle Dodd have the radio duties on ESPN Phoenix 620 AM (KTAR-AM) and Sirius 126/XM 197. ASU has won three of its past four games, averaging 75 points per game in that span, after its efficient 73-55 when it took a 13-10 lead at the 15:20 mark of the first half and never looked back, building a 22-point lead in the second half.

WORTH NOTING: It isn't always easy to build a big lead and then keep it. ASU built a 17-point halftime lead against Oregon State on Thursday, but never let the Beavers get closer than 40-25 at the 19:49 mark. Against California on Jan. 22, ASU led by 21 at the half (34-13), yet never let the Bears get it closer than 19 (36-17) at 17:30.

SIMPLE HOME-SCHOOLED MATH: In home games, ASU is 18-2 in past 20, 26-3 in past 29 and 44-7 in past 51. It is 10-2 in past 12 Pac-12 home games.

#BOBOMBS: Bo Barnes is 12-of-24 (.500) from the three-point stripe in the past four games and is averaging a team-high 12.5 points in that time. He matched his Sun Devil career-high with 17 points at California on Jan. 22 in the Sun Devil 79-44 win. He also had 17 vs. Maryland in Kansas City on Nov. 24. He posted two 19-point games in his freshman year while playing for Hawaii in 2010-11. He had 11 points (nine in the first half) in the win over Oregon State Thursday.
