PREVIEWING THE WEEKEND SERIES: No. 9 Arizona State travels to Utah where three of the top hitters in the Pac-12 will do battle... No. 8 USC and No. 13 Arizona tangle in Tucson with the Pac-12’s hottest offense against one of the Conference’s top rotations in one of two top-20 matchups this weekend... the other, No. 18 Oregon State travels to Westwood to face the No. 4 Bruins, as both team have ERA’s under 2.90... Washington State travels to Cal, as the Bears’ rotation has accounted for 12 of the team’s wins... Washington is at Stanford as the Cardinal try to get back on track after an 0-6 Pac-12 start... Michigan State will travel to Oregon in a Friday-Sunday affair, as the rest of the Pac-12 are Thursday-Saturday.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Arizona hit .344 in March, no other Pac-12 team hit over .296 (ASU).. OSU had a 2.02 ERA in March, going 13-4, leading five teams with March ERA’s under 3.00... UCLA made just eight errors all month (.987), Oregon made 27 (.962)...  in March Arizona’s Kevin Newman hit .484 and Scott Kingery hit .459... Cal’s Lucas Erceg drove in 20 and hit six homers in the month... UCLA has a 1.80 ERA in nine Pac-12 games, OSU has a 1.98 ERA... Arizona has scored 69 runs and hit .317 in nine Pac-12 games... UCLA’s David Berg has four saves and not allowed a run in 13.0 innings and seven Pac-12 relief appearances.
