Oregon

Oregon stole the show in an action-packed Thursday night of college hoops, ending Arizona’s 49-game home winning streak with an 83-75 win over the Wildcats in Tucson. Sam Vecenie of CBS Sports believes that Oregon’s win felt like a passing of the torch in the Pac-12.

Arizona

On the other side of things, Bruce Pascoe feels like the Wildcats blew a great opportunity to really get in the thick of the Pac-12 race. Arizona is now 4-4 in conference play and two games behind Oregon and Washington. Sean Miller was especially upset after the loss, saying it was the most disappointed he’s been in a game.

Arizona State

Arizona State got back on track with an impressive 86-68 thumping of Oregon State, but what stole headlines in Tempe was that Michael Phelps appeared behind Arizona State’s Curtain of Distraction, playing a part in OSU’s Stephen Thompson Jr. missing two free throws.

Washington

Road splits are the name of the game in conference play, and Washington men’s basketball got its work done early this weekend thanks to Andrew Andrews hitting the game-winning free throws with three seconds remaining in an 86-84 win over UCLA.

UCLA

Watch this postgame press clip of Steve Alford taking the blame for the loss to Washington.

Washington State

Wazzu men’s basketball lost to USC 81-71 Thursday night in Los Angeles, and Jacob Thorpe opines that the Cougars were unable to make big plays in the defeat.

Oregon State

Michelle Smith writes this story about Oregon State women’s basketball guard Jamie Weisner being motivated by the disappointment of losing in the second round of the NCAA tournament last year. Good read, as always, from Michelle. Can't wait for the Monday night showdown between the Beavs and the Sun Devils.

Colorado

The Colorado women’s basketball team is having a tough time this year as the only winless team in Pac-12 play, but head coach Linda Lappe sees a brighter future for the Buffs.

Utah

Kyle Goon features Utah women’s basketball forward Paige Crozon, who struggled with migraines early on in her career but is shining this season to the tune of 12.8 points and 8.4 boards per game.

USC

Former USC defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox will become Wisconsin’s defensive coordinator, the Associated Press reports.

California

Check out this story by Joe Posnanski of NBC Sports on Cal alum and Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera as he takes you through the ups and downs of Rivera’s head coaching career.

Stanford

Here’s a Q&A with Stanford running back Remound Wright, who played in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl last weekend. Thanks, Kyle Bonagura.
