ASU's Vaughn named Pac-12 women's golfer of the month

SAN FRANCISCO – Monica Vaughn of ASU has been named the Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Month for February, the Pac-12 announced today. 

The Reedsport, Oregon native helped her team to a second place finish at Bruin Wave and had a top season performance at Northrup Grumman Regional Challenge. At Northrup Grumman, Vaughn birdied seven holes on final round to shoot best round of her college career (65) and win her first-ever outright individual championship going 4 under par (70-74-65=209). Vaughn continued her streak by adding 8 birdies in the final round of the Bruin wave with a total score of 219 (75-74-70).

This marks the third top-three finish for the Sun Devils. ASU is currently ranked 15 going into the Wildcat Invitational on Monday, March 14 to Tuesday, March 15 at Sewailo Golf Club.
