UCLA vs. Utah women's gymnastics preview, TV information and how to watch online

UCLA Athletics | Utah Athletics

Whenever UCLA and Utah gymnastics square off on the mat, it’s can’t-miss entertainment. Perhaps that’s because each team has unrivaled starpower. Or maybe it’s the top-of-poll rankings.

No matter the case, this Saturday’s meet at 12:30 p.m. PT/ 1:30 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network surely won’t disappoint.

It’s MyKalya Skinner, MaKenna Merrell-Giles and the No. 4 Red Rocks (8-1) facing off against Kyla Ross, Katelyn Ohashi and the No. 2 Bruins (9-0) in a highly-anticipated gymnastics showdown. Utah and UCLA have teamed up to win six of the last seven Pac-12 Championships during the all-important meet in March.

Utah has started the season on a tear, setting a new school record for consecutive 197 scores. The Red Rocks have posted eight straight scores of 197, finishing with a 197.125 mark this past Monday at Stanford. Utah also lead the nation in attendance average (14,770), and a sell-out crowd is once again expected Saturday.

UCLA, the defending NCAA champs, has dazzled so far in 2019. Ohashi went viral on floor once again — with more than 110 million views — to open the season, and Ross has posted the nation's top all-around score in back-to-back weeks entering Saturday's meet. The Bruins currently lead the nation with eight perfect 10s this season — Ross (four) and Ohashi (three) are the nation's only gymnsts with multiple 10s.

You can watch this rivalry play out Saturday on Pac-12 Network, Pac-12 Los Angeles and Pac-12 Mountain at 12:30 p.m. PT / 1:30 p.m. MT, with Pac-12 Networks' Jim Watson and Amanda Borden (@AmandaKBorden) on the call. Viewers with usernames and passwords issued by their TV providers have the option to watch the broadcast online at Pac-12.com, as well as on the Pac-12 Now app. Fans also can follow @Pac12Network on Twitter for updates throughout the meet.
