The 2020 edition of the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament is poised to be the league's most competitive since moving to T-Mobile Arena in 2017. The Conference is primed for its most NCAA Tournament bids since 2016, and boasts multiple candidates for National Player, Freshman and Defensive Player of the Year honors, headlined by reigning Most Outstanding Player Payton Pritchard of defending tournament champion Oregon.

On the court, Oregon will look to defend its reigning Pac-12 title. Since the return of the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament in 2002, Oregon has claimed the most championships with five titles total (2003, 2007, 2013, 2016, 2019), ahead of Arizona with four (2003, 2007, 2013, 2016) and both UCLA (2006, 2008, 2014) and Washington (2005, 2010, 2011) with three. Colorado (2012), Stanford (2004) and USC (2009) each have one tournament championship.
