Bajema Signs Pro Contract With Italian Team

SEATTLE - Husky All-American Kara Bajema, part of the 2020 graduating class, will be headed to Italy later this summer to begin her professional playing career. Bajema signed with Pomi Casalmaggiore, in the Italia Serie A1 league, one of the top leagues in the world.
A First Team All-American and the Tom Hansen Female Medal Winner for UW this year, Bajema will head for Casalmaggiore, in the northern part of Italy.
Several members of the 2018 graduating class will continue their pro careers as well this year, as Carly DeHoog and Courtney Schwan are headed to France, and Tia Scambray returns to Switzerland. Crissy Jones will continue her pro beach career on the AVP.
