Emily Bourne To Join Volleyball Program

Dec 14, 2020

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State volleyball head coach Mark Barnard announced Monday that Corvallis native Emily Bourne will join the program starting with the 2021 season.

"We always aim to keep the top talent in Oregon and in having Emily join our 2021 class we have done just that," Barnard said. "Emily has greatly improved in the last 12 months and is an outstanding prospect in the outside hitter position. She has an explosive jump and a force to be reckoned with on the net. Emily has a very high ceiling and I believe we will see her make significant strides in this program. She is an outstanding team mate and will make this team stronger on and off the court.

Bourne joins the program as a two-time all-league and all-state selection while playing at Santiam Christian High School. She was named the 3A Player of the Year as a sophomore after totaling 395 kills. Bourne also led Santiam Christian to two state titles during her career, including in 2019 when the program went undefeated.

Bourne has also lettered in basketball and track and field during her high school career.
