Seniors Gabriela Ruffels and Alyaa Abdulghany put a bow on their 2020 season by helping Team International win the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup, 40.5 to 19.5, on Wednesday (Dec. 23), senior teammate Allisen Corpuz on the losing end with Team USA at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Florida.
Team International secured its second straight win – and the second in a row for Ruffels – with a wire-to-wire performance that concluded with a 14-10 singles edge today.
Though the three Trojans fell in their singles match in the finale, they combined to go 8-1 in their paired matches.
Ruffels and Abdulghany each went 3-0 in mixed fourball, foursomes and mixed foursomes while Corpuz went 2-1, her only loss coming to Ruffels' pair in foursomes Tuesday morning.
USC also had three players in the 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup that included Ruffels as well as current junior teammate Malia Nam and former teammate and 2020 LPGA rookie Jennifer Chang.
