Pac-12 announces Women’s Basketball Players of the Week - Dec. 28, 2020

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jordan Sanders, Sr., F, USC (Springfield, Mo.)
2 GP, 22.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.0 bpg, .600 FG (9-15), .700 3FG (7-10) 
  • Posted 22 points on a career-high five 3-pointers and 8-of-12 (.667) shooting from the field in the win over California
  • Scored 23 points and added eight rebounds, both season bests, to lead the Trojans past Long Beach State.
  • Currently leads the Pac-12 and ranks fifth in the nation in three-point field goal percentage with a .682 mark.
  • This is Sanders’ first weekly honor and USC’s 47th Player of the Week nod all-time.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Charlisse Leger-Walker, Fr., G, WASHINGTON STATE (Waikato, New Zealand)
2 GP, 16.0 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.5 apg, .480 FG (12-25), .429 3FG (6-14) 
  • Scored 20 points against No. 8 Oregon, the most scored by any player against the Ducks this season. Also dished out four assists in 40 minutes of action.
  • Poured in 12 points and added four rebounds and three steals in the win over Eastern Washington.
  • Has scored in double-figures in every game for the Cougars this season including three 20-point performances.
  • This is the second Freshman of the Week award for Leger-Walker and 10th all-time for Washington State.
