Cal-UCLA Postgame Notes

  • Cal starters: Joel Brown Makale Foreman, Ryan Betley, Grant Anticevich, Andre Kelly
  • Grant Anticevich tied his season high with 21 points (8-11 FG, 5-5 3P). He also had 21 points at Pepperdine on Dec. 9.
  • Anticevich tied the Cal school record for most 3-pointers without a miss for the second time in his career. He went 5-for-5 against California Baptist on Nov. 15, 2019 while Amit Tamir (vs. Arizona State, 2003), Eric Vierneisel (vs. Washington, 2008) were also 5-for-5.
  • After opening the game 1-for-5 from the floor, Cal shot 11-for-19 the rest of the first half (57.9%). The Bears were 7-for-12 from behind the arc during the period.
  • Cal finished the game with 10 3-pointers (22 attempts), the fourth time this season the Bears have had at least 10 in a game.
  • Andre Kelly finished 3-of-5 from the floor and is now 42-of-60 in conference action this season (70.0%).
  • Cal's leading scorer Matt Bradley (17.8 PPG) missed his fifth consecutive game (and seventh in Cal's last nine) with an ankle injury.
