Three Ute Women Finish Top-Four, Chen Places Third at Air Force Diving Invitational on Day One
Colorado Springs, Colo.- The Utah diving program started off the weekend strong at the Air Force Academy Diving Invitational after picking up three-top four finishes on the women's side.
The women divers took two places on the podium to start off the invitational at the Cadet Natatorium. Lexi Mills finished in a close second on the 3m with a score of 317.10, just 2.60 behind first place, and Emma Ruchala finished in third with a score of 290.70 to round out the Utes on the podium. Lizzy DeCecco finished next in fourth with a score of 289.95.
The men competed on the 1m to start off the weekend of competition where Chen placed in third with a score of 327.45. Chase Hindmarsh placed sixth after posting a score of 275.10. Luke McDivitt advanced to the finals, but withdrew from competition.
The divers will continue at the Air Force Diving Invitational tomorrow with men on the 3m and women on the 1m. The meet will be live streamed on the Air Force Falcons' YouTube page.
