Bruins Travel to San Diego Area for Lamkin Invitational

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - The Bruins travel south for their first full-field tournament of the season, taking part in the Lamkin Invitational at The Farms Golf Club. The two-day, 54-hole event will be played Monday and Tuesday at the par-72, 6,318-yard layout. 

The starting fivesome for UCLA will be juniors Simar Singh and Phoebe Yue and sophomores Emilie Paltrinieri, Emma Spitz and Annabel Wilson. The first of two rounds on Monday will begin at 8 a.m. off the first tee in the order of Singh, Yue, Paltrinieri, Wilson and Spitz. Tuesday's final round will also begin at 8 a.m. Live scoring will be available here.

Joining the Bruins and host San Diego State in the 12-team field are Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Long Beach State, New Mexico, TCU, Tulane, UC Irvine, USC and Washington State.

The Bruins opened their season at The Match in the Desert (Jan. 24-25) at the Superstition Mountain Golf Club in Gold Canyon, Ariz. UCLA placed second in the three-team field, shooting a 15-over 591 and finishing 14 shots back of first-place Arizona State (+1, 577).

Spitz was the top Bruin finisher, shooting a 2-under 70 and a 2-over 74 to tie for third (E, 144). Paltrinieri and Wilson both tied for seventh (+4, 148), while Singh and Yue each tied for 12th (+8, 152).
