Bruins Complete First Tournament of 2021
LA QUINTA, Calif. - Senior Devon Bling recorded a 1-under 70 in his final round at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West, finishing in a tie for 12th at The Prestige.
Bling made four birdies on Wednesday on the par-5 12th and 16th holes and the par-4 ninth and 11th, adding a bogey and a double. His 54-hole score was 1-over 214.
The Bruins finished in 24th place (+44, 896), shooting their best round of the tournament on Wednesday, an 11-over 295.
Junior Bryan Wiyang Teoh (T-100, +14, 227) shot a 3-over 74, making birdies on the par-5 16th, par-4 ninth and par-3 17th to go with four bogeys and a double. Sophomore Mason Greene (T-110, +18, 231) also shot a 3-over 74, recording a birdie on the par-5 12th, two bogeys and a double. Junior Ahmed Ali (T-110, +18, 231) posted a 7-over 78 on five bogeys and a double. Freshman Ty Griggs (119th, +23, 236) shot a 6-over 77 on Wednesday, notching a birdie on the par-4 ninth hole, three bogeys and two doubles.
The Bruins remain in the Palm Springs area this weekend for the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate (Friday-Sunday) at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
