Husky Rally Falls Short In First Loss

Feb 19, 2021

ST. GEORGE, Utah – The #2 Washington Huskies fell 8-5 to the Nevada Wolf Pack in a wild back-and-forth game Friday. Lilly Agan had two hits in her first collegiate start. Baylee Klingler and Jadelyn Allchin each hit solo home runs as well. Sis Bates and Sami Reynolds had RBI doubles in the sixth inning.

The loss was Washington's first of the year, putting the team's record at 6-1 with three more games to play this weekend.

The Huskies immediately mounted a rally after Nevada took its first lead of the game in the fifth inning, but couldn't quite pull back ahead. Washington would score three runs in the final two innings.

Kelley Lynch struck out eight in her four innings of work. That included multiple strikeouts in every inning she pitched. Brooke Nelson, Pat Moore, and Gabbie Plain finished out the game's final three innings.
