USBWA Release

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team has been named the United States Basketball Writers Association National Team of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.

The Beavers earned a road sweep of the LA schools over the weekend. Oregon State opened the week with a 77-52 win at USC, and capped it off with a 71-64 victory over No. 8 UCLA on Sunday.

OSU held UCLA to 27.6 percent shooting from the floor in the contest, its second-lowest field goal percentage of the season.

Overall, the Beavers have now won five of their last six games dating back to Jan. 26.

A couple of Oregon State student-athletes also took home individual honors on the week, headlined by Aleah Goodman's ESPNW National Player of the Week nod. Goodman was also named Pac-12 Player of the Week, while Talia von Oelhoffen was selected as Pac-12 Freshman of the Week. For more on those honors, click here.

The Beavers' final scheduled game of the regular season will come on Sunday when the Beavers head to Eugene to take on No. 14 Oregon.
