Utah Divers, Women's Swim Team Set For Pac-12 Championships

The Utah women's swim team and the Ute divers are slated to compete at the 2021 Pac-12 Championships beginning this Wednesday, Feb. 24 and running through Saturday, Feb. 27. The women swimmers will head to Houston, Texas for their four-day event at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center at the University of Houston. Running concurrently will be the diving championships in Tucson, Ariz., with the competition being held at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.

Live scoring will be available here. The finals sessions of days one and two will be available via live stream, while the finals sessions for days three and four will be shown live on Pac-12 Networks. For the full schedule and how to watch, click here.

WOMEN'S SWIM STANDOUTS
Utah will send a strong lineup of swimmers to the conference event this week, including eight that rank in the top-10 on their respective events all-time. Audrey Reimer, Sara McClendon, Mandy Gebhart, Emma Broome, Emma Lawless, Charity Pittard, McKenna Gassaway and Maddie Woznick check in as the Utes traveling to the Pac-12 Championships with at least one event time falling into the Utah record books. Along with the experienced Utes, the women's swim team will see eight freshmen head to their first championship event.

DEEP DIVES
This year's diving team has performed excellent over the course of the season and will look to carry the momentum into the Pac-12 Championships. On the women's side, Emma Ruchala, Regan Caufield, Lexi Mills and Lizzy DeCecco all rank in the top-10 in school history on at least one diving event. Ruchala is No. 3 on the 3m and No. 7 on the 1m, while DeCecco is No. 7 on platform, No. 8 on the 1m and No. 9 on the 3m. Mills is now No. 5 on the 3m and No. 9 on the 1m from performances this season, while Caufield is No. 6 all-time on platform.
 
For the men, returning All-Americans Tony Chen and Luke McDivitt headline the group headed to Tucson. Chen ranks No.3 in school history on the 3m and No. 4 on the 1m, while McDivitt is No. 3 on platform, No. 5 on the 3m and No. 8 on the 1m. Also making the trip is Jenner Pennock, who ranks No. 9 on platform, and Chase Hindmarsh, who ranks No. 5 on the 3m.
