The Bears Open The 2021 Spring Season On March 7

BERKELEY – The California field hockey team will play in Berkeley three times, visit Bay Area rival Stanford and head east for the rest of the 2021 spring season as announced recently by the America East Conference.
 
The Golden Bears open the campaign on Sunday, March 7, with a trip to UC Davis to face the Aggies at 2 p.m. Five days later on March 12, Cal hosts UC Davis at Underhill Field at 6 p.m. Both of these games are non-conference games.
 
The Bears open the conference portion of the season with two games at UMass-Lowell, starting with a clash against Maine on Saturday, March 20, and UMass-Lowell on Sunday, March 21.
 
Following a game at Monmouth on March 24, Cal returns to the Bay Area to host UC Davis in an America East Conference game on Saturday, April 3, at 6 p.m. and Stanford on Tuesday, April 6, at 6 p.m. The home meeting against the Cardinal will be a non-conference game. Staying local, the Bears will square off against Stanford on The Farm on Sunday, April 11, at 6 p.m. in an America East Conference game.
 
The Bears then head east again to close out the regular season at Albany (April 15), vs. New Hampshire (April 17 in Vermont) and at Vermont (April 18).
 
The America East Conference Tournament will be held from April 22-24. The top seed will host the tournament. 
 
More information on game times will be announced at a later date. Due to current health guidelines, fans are not permitted to attend home games.
