No. 20 Arizona Cruise to Win in Pac-12 Opener
TUCSON, Ariz. - The Wildcats came out hot and put on a show for the Pac-12 opener with a 7-0 sweep over the Washington Huskies.
The doubles squad came out strong with two quick wins on courts 2 and 3. Alejandro Reguant continued that momentum by rolling over No. 65 Jack Davis on Court 2 in straight sets. Carlos Hassey and Nick Lagaev cleaned up their singles matches in straight sets as well. No. 50 Jonas Ziverts came out flying but cooled off in the second set. He came from a 3-game deficit in the third set to win the tiebreaker. No. 54 Filip Malbasic and No. 105 Gustaf Strom finished up their games in a third set tiebreaker for a tough sweep.
No. 20 Arizona is set to take on Oregon on Sunday, Feb. 28 at Noon MST.
