SAN DIEGO – The #5 Washington Huskies shutout San Diego State 5-0 Saturday in the rubber match of the three-game series. It was Washington's fifth shutout of the season and puts the Huskies' record at 11-2.
Lilly Agan was a part of three of Washington's four scoring plays, driving in two runs and scoring one. Baylee Klingler hit her seventh home run of the season, one of her two hits on the day.
Klingler, Agan, and Morganne Flores all had multiple hits. Livy Schiele would score two runs for the Huskies, with Agan driving her in both times.
Gabbie Plain was her usual self, spinning her 25th career shutout and striking out 12. Plain retired 12 straight batters at one point and allowed only four baserunners, with only two hits allowed. Four times Plain retired the side in order, including twice striking out the side. Over her last five starts, Plain has now struck out 60 batters and allowed just 11 hits.
