Men’s Golf Heads to Texas For Cabo Collegiate

BERKELEY – California men's golf arrived in Texas this weekend with their sights set on their third tournament of 2021: The Cabo Collegiate.
 
The three-day tournament will begin on Monday, March 1 and will be played at TPC San Antonio (par 72). The event will be hosted by Arkansas and Houston. The 16-team tournament consists of three other Pac-12 teams including No. 1 Arizona, No. 3 Arizona State and No. 30 Stanford. The field also consists of a number of other top ranked teams: Florida State (four), Oklahoma (seven), Oklahoma State (eight), Texas (10), Texas A&M (15), Texas Tech (21) and Houston (23).
 
Here is how the Bears' lineup will look:
 
1. Finigan Tilly
2. Aaron Du
3. Sampson Zheng
4. James Song
5. Kyle Maspat
 
All of these players competed at The Prestige with senior Finigan Tilly leading the bunch, tying for 17th overall. Tilly finished the tournament with a total of 215 (+2) strokes. Freshman Aaron Du finished second for the Bears, tying for 21st despite entering the final round tied for third after a strong first two days. Junior Kyle Maspat tied for 87th and freshman Sampson Zheng tied for 91st.
