Van Dyke Named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention

SAN FRANCISCO – Husky junior Haley Van Dyke was rewarded for an excellent regular season by being named to both the Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 and Honorable Mention Defensive teams on Monday.
 
The 6-foot-1 guard has been the Huskies top offensive and defensive player throughout the season. Van Dyke leads the team with 12.2 points per game and has recorded 44 steals in 18 games. She ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 2.3 steals per game and 13th with 6.0 rebounds per contest. Her 52 offensive rebounds are second most among all Pac-12 players.
 
Van Dyke has came on especially strong down the stretch. She has recorded double-digit points in 10 of the last 12 games and has played at least 30 minutes in 10-straight contests.

Arizona's Aari McDonald was named Player of the Year and shared Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors with Stanford's Anna Wilson. Washington State's Charlisse Leger-Walker was Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, Stanford's Lacie Hull was Pac-12 Sixth Player of the Year and Stanford's Tara VanDerveer was the John R. Wooden Pac-12 Coach of the Year.
 
Van Dyke and the Huskies head to Las Vegas on Monday in preparation for the Pac-12 Tournament presented by New York Life. The 11th-seeded Huskies will take on the sixth-seeded Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday, March 3 at 8:00 p.m.
