Official Pac-12 Release

SAN FRANCISCO – USC beach volleyball sophomores Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse were selected as the Pac-12's Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week for the week of Feb. 22-28, the Conference announced on Friday, March 5.

The twin duo earned back-to-back straight-set victories against then 10th-ranked Pepperdine to help USC go 2-0 to open the 2021 campaign. They defeated Katie Gavin and Gracie Pederson, 21-14, 21-14; and then beat Cameron Baklenko and Kristine Briede, 21-13, 21-12. While it was the pair's first two wins of the season, the sisters extended to a 10-match winning streak dating back to the 2020 season.

It is the first-career award for the Nourse sisters and the conference-leading 18th time a USC pair has received Pac-12 Pair of the Week honors since the award's inception in 2016.

The Nourse's selection marks only the third time a No. 5 pair has garnered the honor. On March 21, 2017, Trojans Jenna Belton and Jo Kremerbecame the first-ever five pair to be chosen. The only other No. 5 duo to be named Pac-12 Pair of the Week was California's Grace Campbell and Maddie Micheletti (April 24, 2018).

The Women of Troy (4-0) defeated No. 6 Cal Poly and No. 4 UCLA in back-to-back 5-0 home sweeps this week and the Nourses pushed their impressive streak to 12 consecutive victories.

Next, the Trojans will play their first matches away from home on Sunday (March 7) when they head to Zuma Beach in Malibu, Calif., for the Pepperdine Invite to take on No, 17 Long Beach State (1-1) at noon PT and No. 9 Pepperdine (0-2) at 2 p.m.
