UW's 2021 Rowing Schedules Revealed

Mar 5, 2021

Seattle Times Story

The Washington men's and women's rowing teams are pleased to announce their 2021 schedules today.
Following the 2020 season, which included just one completed women's event prior to all spring sports events being canceled due to the pandemic, the 2021 season will feature many of the same, traditional events as most previous seasons.
Highlights include the 120th annual Class Day Regatta, scheduled for March 27, and the Windermere Cup/Opening Day Regatta on Saturday, May 1. This year, the annual Cal Dual has been combined with the Windermere Cup, as the Huskies will race against the Golden Bears in the featured races that day.
Fans are encouraged to view the UW's two home regattas via live stream as no one will be permitted to gather along the Cut, due to local health regulations. Additionally, most of the traditional events surrounding Opening Day will not be in place this year, including the log boom and boat parade.
The 2021 Pac-12 Championships are still scheduled to be held on May 16, at Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif., the traditional site of that regatta, pending local health department approval. The 2021 NCAA Championships (women) will be held May 28-May 30 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla., while the 2021 IRA Championships (men) return to Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J., on that same weekend.
The 2021 season will also see the UW women travel to Lake Las Vegas twice, this coming Saturday, March 6 and April 10, and to Dexter Lake in Oregon, where the women will compete vs. USC, Oregon State and Gonzaga on April 24.
The Husky men will square off against Oregon State on April 3, at Dexter Lake, and against Stanford, April 17, at Redwood Shores.
