TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Women's Golf will compete in its first and only home match of the season when it hosts the annual Wildcat Invitational at Sewailo Golf Club, beginning Monday, March 8. The Wildcats will take on a quality field that includes USC, Texas, Oklahoma State and Oregon among others. Arizona will be competing in just its second event with a team lineup following the return of Yu-Sang Hou and Vivan Hou last month.

"We've been diligent with our practice out there and know the course, but I am focused on making sure our ladies feel fresh and confident heading into our home tournament," said head coach Laura Ianello. "There's going to be a lot of really good teams in the field, including a lot of teams ranked in the top 20 nationally. Our team knows they are going to have to come out and play really well to give us a chance to win against so many quality teams."

The Wildcats last played at the Sun Devil Winter Classic in Scottsdale in mid-February and finished third in a field loaded with Pac-12 teams. Yu-Sang Hou, the senior from Taiwan, led the team with a sixth-place finish at 1-under par in her first collegiate tournament of the season. Vivian Hou and Therese Warner gave Arizona two Top-20 finishes as well.

Arizona won the 2020 edition of the Wildcat Invitational before the remainder of the 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The Wildcats dominated last year's event, besting Oregon by 22 strokes.
