SEATTLE – The Washington GymDawgs earned their best score of the season on Senior Day, taking second place at the tri meet with a 195.000. Skylar Killough-Wilhem led the way for the GymDawgs, tying for the all-around title with a career-high score of 39.275. That was Killough-Wilhelm's first all-around score: she joins Katie McNamara as the only GymDawg freshmen with all-around titles in the last eight years.
Killough-Wilhelm earned a score of 9.850 on bars, her third score above a 9.800 on that event this season. She also earned a career-high score of 9.875 on floor.
The GymDawgs earned their best floor score of the season with 49.2750. Five GymDawgs earned a score of 9.800 or higher. Amara Cunningham made a big impact by earning her fourth floor title of the season. She matched her career-high with a score of 9.925, the second time this year she has scored a 9.925 on floor.
Seniors Geneva Thompson and Allie Smith both had great nights. Thompson put up a score of 9.850 on vault and floor. Smith earned season highs on vault and floor with a score of 9.825 on each. That score on floor matched Smith's career high, set earlier this year.
