Mar 10, 2021

TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona Women's Golf program has announced the addition of Ellinor Sudow as part of the team's 2021 recruiting class. Sudow is a graduate transfer from UNC Charlotte who will compete for the Wildcats starting in the Fall.

"We are happy to announce the signing of Ellinor Sudow from the University of Charlotte, originally from Sweden," said head coach Laura Ianello. "Ellinor will be a wonderful addition to our team as a graduate transfer and her college experience and talent will help our women's golf team tremendously. She will be pursuing a master's degree in business while preparing for a future on the LPGA tour. Ellinor is a tremendous student and representative of what a college athlete should be."

A native of Lerberget, Sweden, Sudow was a key contributor for the 49ers and a 2020 All-Conference USA Third Team member. She helped Charlotte win their first ever tournament as a junior and earned C-USA Golfer of the Week honors for a second time in her collegiate career. Her team's win at the Yale Invitational saw her finish in fourth place in the individual leaderboards after shooting a final round 68. She finished the COVID-19-shortened season by reducing her stroke average by 2.44 from the year before.

Sudow posted a decorated season as a sophomore in 2018-19 earning Conference USA Golfer of the Week award after posting her career-best finish of third at the Valspar Augusta Invitational before posting a top-15 finish at the 2019 Conference USA Golf Championships.

She becomes the fourth member of Arizona's recruiting class, all of which are international signees. The Wildcats already added a trio of prep standouts from England, France and Italy in the winter.
