SANTA CLARITA, Calif.- The Utah beach volleyball team defeated The Master's University and lost to #7 Loyola Marymount University in final day of weekend in California. Utah beat TMU 3-2 and lost to LMU 5-0.
Utah started the morning off strong and won the first face-off against TMU in team history. Keana Smalls and Grace Andrews won on the third set 15-11 after two close sets. Olivia Teerlink and Camille Lee swept the competition winning both sets by a wide margin, 21-9 and 21-12. Rounding out to take the team win, Abby Cramer and Hannah Stahle took the match to the end and won a close 15-13 set.
Utah fell to ranked LMU after some tough battles on the sand. Sage Patchell and Marissa Koch put up a tough fight, but fell in the last set 21-15. Teerlink and Lee pulled out another close match and lost the first set 22-20.

Utah will head down to Arizona next week to take on Grand Canyon University on Friday and then to take on four Pac-12 teams on Saturday and Sunday in Tucson against Stanford, USC, California and Arizona.
