Senior Alyaa Abdulghany posted a 1-over 73 while senior Allisen Corpuz carded a 2-over 74 and secured her fifth straight top 4 to start the season, highlighting the USC women's golf team's final-round efforts at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia G.C. in Athens, Ga., on Sunday (March 21).
 
The Trojans finished sixth in the 18-team field at 35-over 899 (292-305-302). South Carolina won the tournament at 17-over 881, holding off second-place Mississippi by two strokes.
 
Corpuz tied for third at 2-over 218 (70-74-74), giving her two firsts, two thirds and a fourth now in five starts. She was 4-over through her first 11 holes today but birdies on 15 and 17 got her into the top 3.
 
The last Trojan to start the season with as many top 4s in a row was Candie Kung when she did it seven times to start the 2000-01 campaign.
 
Senior Amelia Garvey tied for 22nd at 8-over 224 (72-75-77), posting two birdies today, while Abdulghany tied for 26th at 9-over 225 (74-78-73), going 2-under over her final 16 holes after starting the day at 3-over on 1 and 2.
 
Sophomore Alexa Melton tied for 52nd at 16-over 232 (76-78-78) and freshman Brianna Navarrosa tied for 68th at 21-over 237 (77-82-78).
 
USC finishes its regular season at the Silverado Showdown in Napa Valley, Calif., April 5-7.
