Ducks Back Home to Host LA Schools

Oregon jumps back into conference play this weekend when its hosts No. 38 USC Friday (1:30 p.m.) and No. 10 UCLA Sunday (11 a.m.) at the Student Tennis Center. The Ducks come into the weekend on a three-match conference winning streak while owning a perfect 8-0 record at home.

The Ducks have won 10 of their last 12 matches and are currently on their longest Pac-12 winning streak since 2016. Oregon is also 12-1 in the doubles point, dropping just six individual doubles matches all season long, led by Janice Tjen and Lillian Mould at the No. 2 spot who are 10-0 on the year.

Oregon is coming off a road split in nonconference matches at San Diego and San Diego State. The Ducks dropped a tight battle with the Toreros on Sunday, 4-3, before bouncing back with a dominant 7-0 win over a short-handed Aztecs team on Monday. Oregon won the doubles point in both matches, with Tjen and Mould winning both days while Allison Mulville and Julia Eshet continued their strong play by providing the doubles clincher at the No. 3 spot on Sunday. 

Tjen dropped her first singles match of the season on Sunday, falling 6-4, 7-6(4) to the 61st-ranked player in the country, Solymar Colling of San Diego. She bounced back on Monday with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 win to move to 11-1 on the year. Uxia Martinez Moral won both her singles matches on the road trip and moved to 11-2 on the season, winning 6-4, 7-5 on Sunday at the No. 4 spot before cruising to a 6-1, 6-2 victory on Monday at No.3 singles.

The Ducks will remain home next weekend to host California and Stanford for their final two home matches of the season.
