WSU Wraps Up the Second Day at The Goodwin

STANFORD, Calif. – The Washington State men's golf team enters the final day of The Goodwin at the Stanford Golf Course tied for 15th on the team leaderboard, as the Cougars carded 298 (+18) in the tournament's second round on Saturday, March 26.

Freshman Jaden Cantafio finished the day carding a team-best one-over par; 71 in the second round. Cantafio collected two birdies on the day, coming on the seventh and 16th holes. The freshman will open Sunday's (March 27) third round tied for 36th on the player leaderboard at 143 (+3).

Junior Max Sekulic will open the final round tied for 29th after finishing the second round three-over par; 73. Sekulic begins play tomorrow with a total score 142 (+2) heading into his final 18 holes.

As a team, Washington State is tied with Southern California for 15th in the 28-team event. WSU enters the final round of The Goodwin shooting 18-over par; 298.

Arizona State heads into Sunday's final round of The Goodwin leading Stanford by five strokes. The Sun Devils head into the third round with a team score of 551 (-9). St. Mary's Blake Hathcoat sits atop the player leaderboard after two rounds of play, as he has carded eight-under par; 132 through 36 holes of play.
