LOS ANGELES – Earning its sixth shutout of the season, and its second of the year against UCLA, Stanford men's soccer rolled to a 3-0 victory over the Bruins on Sunday at Wallis Annenberg Stadium. Stanford improved to 6-1-1 in Pac-12 play, while UCLA dropped to 0-5-2.

Zach Ryan, Rhys De Sota and Gabe Segal scored for the Cardinal, while Will Richmond dished a career-high two assists. Andrew Aprahamian and Charlie Wehan were also credited an assist each, while Andrew Thomas earned a clean sheet with two saves on the afternoon.

Ryan put the Cardinal in front in the 23rd minute with his seventh goal of the year, slotting a shot into the lower right corner after a cross from Aprahamian. The Cardinal doubled its advantage in the 42nd minute after the first-career goal from De Sota. Wehan and Richmond connected on the left flank, with Richmond drilling a cross through the six box for a tap-in from De Sota.

UCLA saw a red card in the 56th minute, which led to a flurry of Stanford shots in the immediate aftermath. Segal, scoring his fifth of the year, took advantage of a defensive mistake and scored on a breakaway in the 68th frame.

Stanford returns home to Cagan Stadium on Saturday, April 3 when it hosts San Diego State. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks.
