Hou Sisters Return to Augusta National Women's Amateur

Mar 30, 2021

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Arizona Women's Golf's standout sister duo of Yu-Sang and Vivian Hou will compete in the prestigious Augusta National Women's Amateur for a second time, beginning on Wednesday, March 31. The Hou sisters will begin on the Champions Retreat course, and if they make the cut for the third round, would play Augusta National on the third and final day.

"The opportunity to play at the best course in the world is a tremendous honor and motivation," said Yu-Sang Hou. "This is a really great field with some of the top amateur players in the world, and I just want to play my best golf and enjoy the environment."

After the cancellation of the 2020 event that both were invited to, Yu-Sang and Vivian Hou will look to build on their 2019 experience that saw both Wildcats miss the cut for the final round by two strokes.

"My sister and I are very luck to have one another on and off the course," Vivian Hou noted. "We can support one another on the golf course, even if we aren't in the same group, because I know my sister is cheering for me from the other side of the golf course."

The Augusta National Women's Amateur held its inaugural event in 2019 that featured the Hou sisters as well as former Wildcat Haley Moore. Moore holds the best finish by a Wildcat at the event from her seventh-place finish in 2019.
