UCLA Had 17 Bruins Earn MPSF All-Academic Honors

WOODLAND, Calif. -- An MPSF and UCLA-high 17 UCLA Bruins received MPSF All-Academic accolades, as announced by the league office today.
To make the MPSF All-Academic Team, the student-athlete must have completed one academic year at the institution and have at least a 3.0 grade point average. The league removed the criteria stating that each student-athlete had to compete in 50 percent of the team's games in 2020-21. The Bruins would have had 11 players qualify with the old restriction, but 17 Bruins earned All-Academic honors this year, which was tops in the MPSF.
Nicolas Saveljic, an attacker from Kotor, Montenegro. (Maritime School Kotor), headlined the group, earning All-Academic honors for the third time in his career. He had the team's highest GPA at 3.850. He played in all 16 games, leading the team, the MPSF and was second in the NCAA in scoring with 37 goals on the year.
