STANFORD, Calif. - Junior Ian Gunther captured two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) individual titles last week en route to being named College Gymnastics Association Specialist of the Week.
Gunther won the pommel horse title with a season-best mark of 13.900 before hitting for a season-high 14.350 on still rings to finish first.
In addition to the two first-place finishes, Gunther placed second on horizontal bar with a mark of 13.600.
The national selection is the third for Gunther in his career, including the second in as many weeks (March 30). He also captured Specialist of the Week on March 3, 2020.
