CORVALLIS, Ore. – The #6 Washington Huskies saw Kelley Lynch carry a no-hit bid into the seventh but fell 3-1 to the Oregon State Beavers Saturday. The loss, which does not count in the conference standings, puts Washington at 30-5 overall on the season.
The loss ends a nine-game winning streak against Oregon State and is Washington's first loss to the Beavers since 2017. Washington's eight-game winning streak, all against Pac-12 opponents, ends as well.
Kelley Lynch was nigh unhittable on the day, not allowing a hit through 6.1 innings. She would give up just two hits but took the loss as Oregon State won it on a walkoff home run. Lynch struck out seven in the complete game, giving up just two hits and four walks.
The Huskies had doubles from Morganne Flores and Lilly Agan as well as a solo home run by Noelle Hee but just couldn't come up with enough big hits to take the lead in this one. In all, the Huskies had 11 baserunners in the game.
