Ducks Wrap Regular Season at Western Intercollegiate

ANNUAL TRIP TO THE WESTERN INTERCOLLEGIATE ON DECK
Oregon wraps up the regular season with its yearly trip to the Western Intercollegiate, Monday through Wednesday at Pasatiempo Golf Club. The Ducks have won the tournament five times in the 73-year history of the event with the most recent win coming in 2010. The event will be televised live on Golf Channel from 4-7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 1-4 p.m. Wednesday. Oregon will begin play in round one starting at 12:42 p.m.

STRONG FINISH IN THE DESERT
Oregon is coming off of an eighth-place finish in the 23-team Cowboy Classic the last time out. Freshman Yuki Moriyama shot three under par rounds to lead the way with a tied for 11th place finish at 6 under. He got better each round, shooting 71-70-69 for his team-best fourth top-20 finish. The Ducks closed with a 6-under 282 in the final round to move back into the top 10. Nate Stember shot a 4-under 68 in the final round and came in tied for 24th while Tom Gueant shot three rounds of even or better to finish 1 under and tied for 28th.
