Apr 12, 2021

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Powered by a top-10 finish by sophomore Therese Warner, No. 22 Arizona Women's Golf finished the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in seventh place at 15-over par. The Wildcats wrapped up the three-round event among the top three teams in the field in par 5 scoring as senior Yu-Sang Hou gave Arizona a second top-20 finisher.

"We had some struggles this week, but I am very proud of how Therese competed to earn a top-10 finish," said head coach Laura Ianello. "She played very well throughout the week, which was great to see. We will grow from this tournament and begin preparations for the Pac-12 Championships in two weeks."

The seventh-place finish by Warner at even par marked her fourth top-10 finish of her career and second this season. Her opening round of 69 tied her second lowest round of the season behind her career-best round of 65 to open this year's Wildcat Invitational.

Hou sank six birdies during Monday's round to finish the tournament in a tie for 18th at 3-over par, which gave the senior a 22nd top-20 finish in her career.

Arizona will return to action in two weeks when the Wildcats compete in the Pac-12 Championships at Stanford Golf Course, beginning on Friday, April 23.
