Pukis Named AVCA All-American

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State volleyball setter Hannah Pukis was named a Honorable Mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), announced Wednesday.

Pukis, a redshirt-sophomore setter from Tacoma, Wash., led the Cougars in assists for a second consecutive season, totaling 577 in 16 matches. Hannah finished the regular season ranked fifth in the Pac-12 in total assists and ranked fifth in the conference in assists per set at 9.31 as well.
 
Hannah was previously named to the AVCA Pacific North All-Region First Team and to the All-Pac-12 First Team as well. She went on to total 36.0 blocks and add 61 kills to her season stats during the year and recorded eight double-doubles also.
 
The Cougars wrapped up the 2020-21 spring season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 18 Western Kentucky in an incredible five-set match. During this final match of the season, Pukis posted a season-best 52 assists, along with notching a double-double adding 10 digs to her stat sheet.
