2021 Pac-12 Men's Golf Championships set for Mayacama Golf Club

SAN FRANCISCO - The 2021 Pac-12 Men's Golf Championships are set to take place April 26-28 with CALIFORNIA serving as host at Mayacama Golf Club in Santa Rosa, Calif.

The three-day, 72-hole stroke play competition will play at par-72 and 6,785 yards for its first-ever staging at Mayacama. The Jack Nicklaus-designed course has consistently been ranked in Golf Digest's "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses" since opening in 2001.

Split tee times will be utilized beginning at 7:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. PT for Monday's two rounds, and 10:00 a.m. PT on Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. PT on Wednesday. Coverage of each day will be featured across and Pac-12 social media channels, culminating with a special half-hour recap on Pac-12 Network on Thursday, April 29 at 8:00 p.m. PT.

The loaded 12-team field is set to feature 10 Golfweek Top 100 ranked programs, highlighted by the reigning Pac-12 team champion from 2019 in STANFORD:

Among the expected frontrunners for the individual title are a quintet, including three Sun Devils, ranked in the top 50 of Golfstat's player rankings:

  • David Puig, So., ARIZONA STATE (No. 6)
  • Brad Reeves, Sr., ARIZONA (No. 34)
  • Ryggs Johnston, So., ARIZONA STATE (No. 38)
  • Blake Tomlinson, Sr., UTAH (No. 41)
  • Chun An Yu, Sr., ARIZONA STATE (No. 44)

The event's most recent individual champion from 2019, California's Collin Morikawa, has since gone on to post four PGA Tour victories including the 2020 PGA Championship.
